Louise Fannin Stone, 92, of Vanceburg, passed away Friday, September 4, 2020, at Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Care.
She was born February 5, 1928, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of the late Orville and Esta Edington Fannin.
Louise was a member of Laurel Point Christian Holiness Church and was retired from the Lewis County Board of Education as a cook. She enjoyed going to church, playing the piano for the church since the age of 19, and along with her husband, Curtis, was the owner and operator of Stone Grocery. Louise loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Louise is survived by one son, Gary Curtis Stone (Joyce) of Camp Dix; one granddaughter, Laura Bond (Matthew); two great-grandsons, Matthew Dale Bond and Samuel Bond; and one son-in-law, Dale Clark of Camp Dix. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Curtis Stone; one daughter, Diana Lou Clark; five brothers, Olen Fannin, Bob Fannin, Forest Fannin, Orville Fannin, and Gene Fannin; and three sisters, Doris Stafford, Betty Bloomfield and Lena Robinson.
A graveside service for Louise Stone will be at 5:00 p.m. Monday, September 7, 2020, in Morgan Cemetery at Head of Grassy.
Louise’s family will serve as pallbearers.
All arrangements are being cared for by Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix.
