Eugene Tully

Luther “Eugene” Tully, 77, of Tollesboro, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville.

He was born March 24, 1942, in Lewis County, a son of the late Luther and Minnie Bell Highfield Tully.

Eugene was a Christian and enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars and tinkering with motors. He liked to spend time with his family.

Eugene is survived by two sons, Darrell Tully (Deloris) and Sam Tully (Paula) of Tollesboro; two brothers, Roy Tully (Dorothy) and Marvin “Hoss” Tully, both of Tollesboro; four sisters, Francis Mitchell and Lena Polley, both of Tollesboro, Emma Mae Martin and Evelyn Pollitt, both of Manchester, Ohio; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Thelma Shiveley Tully; one brother, Wayne Highfield; and two sisters, Regina Chappelow and Lillian Mason.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2019, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Bro. Adam Dunigan officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019, and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Tully, Timothy Tully, Josh Applegate, Carter Applegate, Matthew Huges, Craig Shiveley and Adam Dunigan.
