Margaret Thoroughman, 83, of Tollesboro, died Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Golden Living Center in Vanceburg.
Mrs. Thoroughman was a homemaker and had been engaged in farming with her husband.
She was born in Mason County April 21, 1933, the daughter of the late Richard and Thelma Fields Crawford.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Harvey Thoroughman; four sons, Kenneth (Cassie) Thoroughman and Wayne Thoroughman, both of Tollesboro, Paul Thoroughman of Wallingford, and Charles Thoroughman of Marion, Ohio; four daughters, Juanita Neu (Howard Hamilton) and Hilda Mitchell, both of Vanceburg, and Christal Tackett and Patricia (Gary) Applegate, both of Tollesboro; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a half-brother, Lionel Sherman of Nevada.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Thoroughman; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at noon Friday, November 4, 2016, at the Barbour and Son Funeral Home in Tollesboro with Rev. Milt Stanfield officiating. Burial will be in Mount. Tabor Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of services Friday.
