Marilyn S. Knapp of Vanceburg, formerly of Binghamton, New York, entered eternal rest at the age of 77 on August 8, 2023. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born November 25, 1945, in Binghamton, New York, a daughter of the late Robert and Catherine (Reynolds) Spencer.
Marilyn is survived by her loving husband John Knapp; her daughters, Kimberly Prater of Vanceburg and Erika Hinman (Bill) of Richmond; her grandchildren, Maranda Hughes (Tim) of Maysville, Vance Dowling of Richmond, Madison Prater of Louisville, and Jacob Prater of Vanceburg; and four great-grandchildren. Multiple cousins and an aunt also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Spencer.
She loved her two dogs and two cats, watching sports, shopping, and spending time with her family.
