Marisa Skidmore Porter, 49, of Greenup, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.
She was born February 17, 1972, in Hammond, Indiana, a daughter of the late Bruce Edward Skidmore and Martha Jean Jones.
Marisa was of the Christian faith and enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, going to the lake, camping, going out to eat, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Olivia.
Marisa is survived by one son, Jerrick Edward McKnight of Ashland; one daughter, Breelynna Mariah Adkins; one granddaughter, Olivia Jade McKnight; two brothers, Mark Skidmore (Jennifer) of Frankfort, and Michael Dusty Ledlow of Decatur, Alabama; and one sister-in-law, Donna Cannon of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry Cannon and William Ledlow, and one sister, Jacquline Ledlow.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Bro. John Byard officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
