Mark Anthony Smith, 42, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday August 28, 2022.
Mark, was born at Portsmouth, Ohio, on October 18, 1979, a son of Norman and Phyliss Brown Smith of Vanceburg.
Mark was employed as a factory worker. He loved to go fishing and hunting in his spare time. He also loved to travel to Alabama to see his best friend, Andy Reeder. Mark was a sports enthusiast especially playing softball. Most of all he loved his family dearly, especially his son Kaden.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish Mark’s memories are a son, Kaden Blake of Vanceburg, and a brother, Norman Smith Jr. of Garrison. Several nieces and nephews also survive who will mourn his passing.
Mark was preceded in death by a brother, Joey Smith; paternal grandparents, Norman and Lucy Smith; maternal grandparents, Harvey and Marie Brown; and a very special uncle and aunt, Jim and Judy Bloomfield.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2022, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Tony Corns officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Visitation will be Friday, September 2, 2022, after 11:00 a.m.
