Lois Marlene White O’Cull, 88, of Tollesboro, passed away peacefully Monday, May 5, 2025, at her home. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 18, 1936, in Dayton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clennie D. and Betty Geinger White.
Marlene was a member of Plumville Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, working in her flowers, reading, and spending time with family.
Survivors include two daughters, Christa O’Cull of Tollesboro and Kimberly (Stewart) Gordon of Union; one son, John (Eugena) O’Cull of Vanceburg; one sister, Martha White Walker of Dayton, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Chelcee (Jamie) Billman, Lance O’Cull, Brock (Cassa) O’Cull, Shauna (Larry) Spencer, Deah (Chris) Dunaway, Bethany (Montana) Kern, Shelby (Ethan) Staley, and Luke (Aury) Sparks; nine great-grandchildren, Kainon Billman, Marlowe Billman, Cheyenne D’Souza, Henry O’Cull, Louie John O’Cull, Maddie Spencer, Peyton Spencer, Noah Dunaway, and Grant Dunaway; and a sister-in-law, Kim White of Newark, Ohio. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, John Fleming O’Cull, and three brothers, Clennie Darrell White, James White, and Russell White.
Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with her family officiating. A private burial will be in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Friends may visit after 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Luke Sparks, Brock O’Cull, Montana Kern, Ethan Staley, Jamie Billman, and Daniel Montelongo.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lance O’Cull, Kenny Sapp, Paul Redmond, Monroe Forman, Chris Dunaway, Larry Spencer, Noah Dunaway, Grant Dunaway, and Peyton Spencer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope in Maysville. Marlene’s family would like to thank her caregivers for their loyal support.
