Martha Jean Bloomfield Knell, 61, of Petersville, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020, at her home.
She was born January 31, 1959, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Robie and Edna Evans Bloomfield.
Martha was of the Pentecostal faith and was a homemaker. She loved singing, going out to eat and spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
Martha is survived by her husband of 35 years, James Knell; two sons, Terry Layne Knell (Tina) and Perry Wayne Knell (Jamie) of Vanceburg; one daughter, Mary Forgrave (James) of Roseville, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Wanda Bloomfield of Maysville, and Bernice Bloomfield of Bucyrus, Ohio. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jaelynna Marie Knell; one brother, David R. Bloomfield; and five sisters, Deloris Coon, Patricia Monenhan, Barbara Baldwin, Wilma Bloomfield, and Fay Bloomfield.
Services will be at Noon Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Richard Thurman officiating. Burial will follow in Evans Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 10:30 a.m. until Noon Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
