Martha L. Nolen Stevenson, 83, of Vanceburg, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lewis County on February 22, 1941, a daughter of the late Amos Nolen Sr. and Lillie Smith Nolen.
Martha was of the Pentecostal Faith. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include three daughters, Lillie “Sue” (Jeff) Corns, Debbie Lue (Billy) Blankenship, and Marlene (Anthony) Mefford of Vanceburg; two sisters, Louella Bloomfield of Urbana, Ohio, and Margie Friddle of Columbus, Ohio; and eight grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Stevenson Sr.; a son, Herbert Dale Stevenson Jr.; 11 sisters, Audrey Aills, Jessie Brown, Faye Sartin, Gladys Dyer, Mildred Bishop, Dorothy Burton, Irene Hamlin, Ruby Campbell, Helen Nolen, Ines Nolen and Oilee Nolen; and one brother, Amos Harold Nolen Jr..
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Jacob Sartin officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024, and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
