Marvin Lewis Stevenson Jr., 62, of Vanceburg, passed away Friday evening, March 12, 2021, at his home.
He was born October 22, 1958, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Marvin Stevenson Sr. and Mary Burns Stevenson Branham.
Marvin was of the Christian Baptist faith and worked as a carpenter for Union Carpenter Local #437. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom and ginseng hunting, sitting on the porch, and spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 34 years, Nancy Ginn Stevenson; two sons, Christopher Brown of Clarksville, Tennessee, and William Robert Stevenson of Richmond; one daughter, Julie Stevenson of Vanceburg; four brothers, George Stevenson of Rye, Colorado, James Stevenson of Toledo, Ohio, Larry Stevenson of Newborn, North Carolina, and Jesse Stevenson of Vanceburg; four sisters, Sarah Lewis of Portsmouth, Ohio, Judy Adkins of Tollesboro, Ruth Scott of Walbridge, Ohio, and Florence Aiken of Mercer, Pennsylvania;Â and eight grandchildren, Quinton, Trenton, Grace, Hope, Elijah, Noah, McKenzie, and Katlyn. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Stevenson, Paul Stevenson, and John Stevenson.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Wes Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
