Mary June Taylor Roe, 91, of Camp Dix, went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning, October 22, 2016, at Golden Living Center in Vanceburg.
She was born August 16, 1925, in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Estyl and Alice Marie Crain Taylor.
Mary June was a 70-year member of Blankenship Christian Holiness Church and was co-owner of Roe’s Grocery and Equipment at Camp Dix for 47 years. She loved going to church, sewing, watching children and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Malcolm Roe; one daughter, Amanda Ann Roe Lang; one great-grandson, Robert Sullivan III; three brothers, Billy Taylor, Estyl Taylor Jr., and James Taylor; and one sister, Anna Jessie.
Mary June is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Malcolm Wayne and Jo Roe of Troy, Illinois, Robert Mitchell and Shirley Roe of Emerson, and John and Karen Roe of Camp Dix; one daughter, Mary “Eenie” Roe of Camp Dix; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Taylor of Troy, Missouri, and Gentry Lee Taylor of Affton, Missouri; and a sister, Troyena Kehoe of O’Fallon, Missouri. She also leaves many other family members, church family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix with Bro. Chris Lawhun and Bro. James DeAtley officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday October 25, 2016, and until the service hour on Wednesday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix.
Pallbearers will be Nick Adams, Marcus Adams, Patrick McGlone, Randy Reeder, Mike Carver, and DW Kidwell.
