Mary Lou Buckner Polley, 68, of Olive Hill, formerly of Vanceburg, passed away Friday morning, October 25, 2019, at St. Claire Healthcare in Morehead.
She was born August 6, 1951, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Walter and Della Bloomfield Buckner.
Mary was retired from US Shoe in Vanceburg. She enjoyed watching TV, working puzzles, attending family gatherings, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ernest Eugene Polley; one son Michael Eugene Polley (Melissa) of Morehead; one daughter, Teresa Moore (John) of Garrison; two brothers, Wilford Buckner (Betty) of Camp Dix and Gilbert Buckner (Mary) of Toledo, Ohio; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Joseph Moore; six brothers, Donald Buckner, Dave Buckner, Clayton Buckner, Robert Buckner, Ottis Buckner and Jack Buckner; and two sisters, Betty Nolen and Martha Nolen.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix with Bro. Carl Angel officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery at Head of Grassy.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2019, and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix.
Pallbearers will be Michael Polley, John Moore, Gavin Polley, Jeremy Moore, Joshua Moore, and Teresa Moore.
