Maurice Gene McKee, 85, of Vanceburg, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born October 10, 1931, in Lewis County, a son of the late Joseph McKee and Nettie Sapp McKee Cropper.
Maurice was of the Pentecostal faith and proudly served our country in the US Army. He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed going to church and loafing at McDonalds with his friends.
Maurice is survived by one son, Malcom J. McKee of Waterford, Maine; one daughter, Connie Graley of Melbourne, Florida; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin McKee and James McKee; and a sister, Armal Armstrong.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Curtis Cordle officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Lewis County.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
