Melissa Renee Carver, 54, of South Portsmouth, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at her home.
She was born at Gallipolis, Ohio, February 14, 1971, a daughter of Betty Hill Carver of Vanceburg and the late Gary Carver.
Melissa loved to go camping with her family and enjoyed playing with her dogs. She also loved to garden, growing many varieties of flowers.
In addition to her mother, those left to cherish Melissa’s memories are two daughters, Andriell Brown of Loveland, Ohio, and Ariane (Glen David) Flinders of Greenup; one son, Garett Carver of Vanceburg; one sister, Rebecca Pence of Alexandria; and five grandchildren, Gary Flinders, Alex Flinders, Gabriel Brown, Alaina Brown, and Esme’ Brown. Several nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive who will mourn her passing.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Drema Marshall.
A memorial service will be at the convenience of the family.
