Michael Steven Burchett, 65, of South Bloomfield, Ohio, passed away Friday, October 14, 2016, at Specialty Select Hospital.
He was born on May 9, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Homer and Faye (Browning) Burchett.
Michael was a lifelong upholsterer and was the owner of Burchett’s Auto Trim. He had also worked with his father at Sterling Auto Top. Michael had a great passion for historic vehicles. He and his wife had attended Turn Point Apostolic Church in Groveport, Ohio. When Michael was younger he was involved with DeMolay International.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Esther Mae (Hyrne) Burchett; brothers, Greg (Marti) Burchett, Terry and Neil Burchett; a daughter Lynn Burchett; a son Michael (Sherri) Burchett; grandchildren, Alton, Dylan, Antonio, Alexander, Matthew, Annamarie Burchett; nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
In keeping with Michael’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private gathering will be held at the convenience of the family. The Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home in Ashville, Ohio, is serving the family.
