Herbert Chester “Mick” Dunaway, 77, of Vanceburg, passed away Friday morning, July 24, 2020, at his home.
He was born October 21, 1942, in Lewis County, a son of the late Howard and Lula Jones Dunaway.
Mick proudly served our country in the US Air Force. He was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed cooking, farming, boating, camping, telling stories and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mick is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna Sue Henderson Dunaway; one son, Chris Dunaway (Deah) of Maysville; two daughters, Denise Dunaway of Vanceburg, and Kelly Alburg (Tammy) of Mayslick; one brother, Frank Dunaway (Debbie) of Ashland; seven grandchildren, Bo, Liz, Tyler, Kelsey, Noah, Tanner and Grant; and four great-grandchildren, Layla, Amry, Abram and Emmy. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Kidwell.
A private graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2020, in Lewis County Memory Gardens with Bro. Kevin Cornette officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bo Markins, Tyler Leming, Noah Dunaway, Grant Dunaway, Dustin Czirr and Tony Rizzo.
