Mickel E. Nolen, 71, of Vanceburg, passed away on February 26, 2026, at his home.
He was born in Bucyrus, Ohio, on October 11, 1954, a son of the late Lovell and Ruth Clark Nolen.
Mike enjoyed being around his wife and family, working outdoors, and looking for yard art. He retired from Browning Manufacturing in Maysville.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Kathy Monteith Nolen; a daughter, Samantha Collins (Nick); a son, Mickel R. Nolen (Sherry); two brothers, Lovell Nolen Jr. (Mabel) and Paul Nolen; four grandchildren, Kayla Burgoon (Derek), Austin Collins (Karter), Hannah Nolen, and Andrew Collins (Olivia); and four great-grandchildren, Linden Collins, Rowan Collins, Hunter Scott, and Peyton Scott.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Chris Nolen Smith and Elizabeth Nolen Rickett.
A graveside service will be at a later date in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison.
