Minnie Ellen Ervin, 86, of Garrison, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born September 10, 1933, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Cecil and Goldie Osborne Ervin.
Minnie was a member of Garrison Church of Christ for over 50 years, serving in many positions. She worked until her retirement for US Shoe and loved serving God and spending time with her family.
Minnie is survived by three brothers, Chester Ervin of Garrison, Donald Ervin (Jeanette) of Mansfield, Ohio, and William Jerry Ervin of Crestline, Ohio; two sisters, Pearl Pence of Mansfield, Ohio, and Vesta Jean Kimbler of Garrison; one nephew, Michael Clark of Garrison, whom she raised like a son; three nieces, Sherry Ruggles, Anita Cooley, and Brittany Crump, all who grew up in her home; and three nephews, Daren Kimbler, Timothy Kimbler, and Kyle Kimbler. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Clayton Ervin; and three sisters, Lillian Ervin Williamson, infant Judy Ervin, and Edna Jamison.
A private visitation and service will be Friday, May 29, 2020, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison with Bro. Don Ervin and Bro. Lynn Buddy White officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Gary Ervin, Steve Ervin, Mark Ruggles, Markie Ruggles, Hunter Ruggles, and Quentin Mueller.
