Minnie Nova Dalton Lewis, 76, of South Shore, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born at Fullerton on October 19, 1947, a daughter of the late Clarence “Monk” and Betty Gitsoff Dalton.
Minnie was a member of Firebrick Christian Baptist Church, a former employee of Wil-Car Industries, a cook at McKell Elementary School, and her most important job, a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, and spending time with grandkids and church family.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Russell “Sonny” Lewis; one son, Jeffrey Michael (Dixie) Lewis of Maysville; one sister, Chris Angel of Dayton, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Hope Elizabeth Lewis and John Russell Lewis. Several other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Dalton, and a brother, Bo Dalton.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2024, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with Raymond Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2024, and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at Roberson Funeral Home.
