Minnie Estelle Lewis Carroll, 78, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice Care in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born February 9, 1939, at Straight Fork, a daughter of the late John and Edith Jordan Lewis.
Minnie was member of Vanceburg Church of God and was retired from US Shoe. She enjoyed canning, quilting, reading God’s word, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Minnie is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Gary Lee Carroll Jr. and Pam and Randy Carroll and Renee, all of Vanceburg; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Brenda Howard and David, Sheila Cooper and Donald and Tim Willis, all of Vanceburg, and Patricia Carroll of Winchester; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Marion Lewis of Chesterfield, Ohio, and Harry Lewis of Cabin Creek. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Gary Carroll; one daughter, Beverly Ann Carroll Willis; and one brother, William Tim Lewis.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Eddie Stepp and Sister Linda Sartin officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, and after 9:00 a.m. Sunday at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Pallbearers will be Jason Howard, Jeremy Howard, Brandon Willis, Ammon Cooper, Coty Carroll, and Daniel Carroll.
