Myrtle Irene Pollitt Williamson, 83, of Tollesboro, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
She was born December 21, 1940, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Arnet and Mildred Gladys Pollitt.
Myrtle was a member of Pine Valley Christian Church. She was a retiree after 43 years from ARaymond Tinnerman Manufacturing of Flemingsburg. She enjoyed watching and listening to gospel music on television, playing horseshoes, gardening, and taking long rides with her loving husband. She loved Christmas, spending time with everyone that would come to her home, and especially loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Gary Williamson of Tollesboro; one daughter, Karen Dearing Thomas of Tollesboro; two sons, Ronald Dearing of Maysville and Charles (Jackie) Dearing of Tollesboro; six grandchildren, Miranda Dearing, Kindra Vice, Lakin (Chris) Highfield, Kimberly Miller, Jonathan Kyle (Shelby) Thomas, and Kimberly Foust; and eight great-grandchildren, Tristian Miller, Colton Highfield, Ely Doyle, Gabriel Miller, Corbin Highfield, Samuel Miller, Arya Thomas, and Amberley Thomas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Pollitt and Naomi Ruth Pollitt, and three brothers, Harold Pollitt, Jackie Pollitt, and an infant brother.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro with Bro. Brad Williamson and Bro. Phil Cropper officiating. Burial will follow in Pollitt Family Cemetery at Burtonville.
Friends may visit after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
