Nellie Marie Bramel, 89, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025, at her home.
Nellie was born July 31, 1935, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Louis and Lorene May Bevins.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, coloring, and painting. She was of the Christian faith. Nellie loved her hats.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (Gary) Smith of Vanceburg and Sharon (Charles) Blankenship of Circleville, Ohio; four sisters, Carrie Rose of Maysville and Rita (Gary) Cropper, Rena (Ronnie) Meadows, and Rosalie (Randall) Noble of Tollesboro; one brother, Roger Bevins of Vanceburg; five grandchildren, Rhonda (Jeff) Boyd, Charlette (Larry) Collins, Darrell Smith, Wayson Blankenship, and Steven (Shalin) Smith; and 13 great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Bonnie Sue Bevins, Garnet Bevins, and Joyce Earls; four brothers, Calvin Bevins, Jimmy Bevins, Donald Bevins, and Allen Bevins; and two grandchildren, Tina Smith and Susan Smith.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Pastor Jeff Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Flinders Cemetery on Quicks Run.
