LTC (RET) Neville E.M. Holder, 73, resident of Columbus, Ohio, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital.
LTC Holder, son of the late Edwin Victor Holder, Sr. and Mary Irene Sullivan Holder, was born January 23, 1942, in Vanceburg.
He was retired from the U.S. Army where he served honorably as a Finance Officer for over 21 years. During his distinguished military career, he served in Vietnam and was awarded numerous medals including the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (30LC), Army Commendation Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal (4 Bronze Stars). After his retirement, LTC Holder served as CFO and later Administrator of Muscogee Manor. He then served on the TIC Board of Directors and as an active member of MOAA. LTC Holder attended the Infantry Center Chapel, Fort Benning, Georgia.
LTC Holder is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Holder (Dan) Jones of Cumming, Georgia; a son, Ron (Fran) Holder of Dacula, Georgia; a sister, Mary Dean Holder Barlow of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Ellen Montgomery Holder; and a brother, E.V. Holder, Jr.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Main Post Cemetery, Fort Benning, Georgia.
