Nina Carroll

Nina Ann Lewis Carroll, 84, of Lexington, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024, at Oakmont Manor Nursing Home in Flatwoods. Her family was at her side.

She was born December 15, 1939, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late William Lewis and Dorothy Pollitt.

Nina enjoyed watching TV, listening to bluegrass music, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include five sons, Gary (Teresa) Carroll of Lexington, Rick (Darlene Bilyeu) Carroll of Vanceburg, Robert “Bobby” Carroll of Lexington, Anthony Carroll (Robert Burton) of Flatwoods, and Kevin (Melinda) Carroll of Maysville; seven grandchildren, Steven Blankenship, Jeffrey Carroll, Angel Rhoden, Logan Carroll, Savannah Carroll, and twins, Elena and Anna Carroll; and seven great-grandchildren, Carson Blankenship, Carter Blankenship, Corbin Blankenship, Karly Bricker, Preston Rhoden, Patience Rhoden, and Hunter Rhoden. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edwin Carroll, and her sister, Helen Ginn.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. John Byard officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.

Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
