Noraetta Kay Tackett Bare, 44, of Garrison, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020, at her home after an extended illness. Her family was at her side.
Noraetta was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, January 10, 1976, a daughter of Carlos and Connie Thurman Tackett of Garrison.
Noraetta worked for Hollinee Manufacturing for 10 years and was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved her banty chickens and enjoyed watching Yellowstone on TV. She also loved to cook. Most of all she loved being around her family and friends.
Left to cherish Noraetta memories are her husband of five years, Jeff Bare; one daughter, Priscilla Skidmore of Garrison; three sons, Michael Skidmore and Shelton Tackett of Garrison, and Loren Augustus Tackett of Olive Hill; two sisters, Luwana (Perry) Polley of Vanceburg and Lorraine Tackett of Garrison; and one brother, Carlos (Dreama) Tackett of Garrison. Many nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive who will mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Glen and Carrie Tackett, and Bub and Carmel Thurman.
Pallbearers will be Michael Skidmore, Shelton Tackett, Priscilla Skidmore, Carlos Tackett, Perry Polley, and Robert Bare.
A private service and visitation will be Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Tony Corns officiating.
Burial will follow in Tackett Cemetery at Garrison.
