Norman Fraley, 77, of Quincy, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.
He was born June 8, 1942, in New Boston, Ohio, a son of the late Everett and Helen Phipps Fraley.
Norman was a US Army veteran having served with the 101st Airborne Division. He retired as a machinist from C&O Railroad and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening, pitching horseshoes, playing music, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Norman is survived by and will be deeply missed by his wife, Charlotte Justice Fraley; his five children Norman (Courtney) Fraley Jr., Lisa (John) Aliperti, Michael (Melinda) Fraley, Jennifer Alexander, and Charity Watterson; one stepson, Shawn Dalton of Aberdeen, Ohio; his grandchildren, Brooke, Michaela, Victoria, John, Sara, Alissa, Kevin, Connor, Logan, Sadie, and Draven; two great-grandchildren, Calvin and Benjamin; his sisters, Janet Nowlin, Bonita Temple, and Teresa Mohrbacher; and many extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his sisters, Lovena Everman, Rosetta Ames, and Joanna Ingold; and the mother of his children, Janice Allen Fraley.
Due to COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, a private graveside service will be in Soldier Cemetery at Garrison with Bro. Oval Osborne officiating.
