Pamela Cooper Box, 65, of Garrison, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017, at her home.
She was born February 23, 1952, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Wilford Jennings and Ruby Corns Cooper.
Pam worked for US Shoe for 10 years. In 1988, she began her college education at Morehead State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. After graduating, she was employed by the state of Kentucky as a social worker for the Cabinet for Protection and Permanency for 21 years, working her way up to the position of supervisor. She enjoyed working on her home, shopping for antiques and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Lanny Neil Cooper.
Pam is survived by two sons, Brian Box and Tanya of Garrison, and Kevin and Brenda Box of Vanceburg; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven brothers and six sisters-in-law, Roger and Charlotte Cooper of Garrison, Wendell and Brenda Cooper of Morehead, Keith and Ginger Cooper of South Portsmouth, Terry and Brenda Cooper, Lionel and Shelia Cooper, and Craig Cooper, all of Vanceburg, and Travis and Tammy Cooper of Mt. Sterling; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marcia Cooper of Hillsboro, and Treva and Ted Gilbert of Vanceburg. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with her brother, Terry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens At Black Oak.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. Until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017, and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue in Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Tony Silvey, Adam Cooper, Scotty Cooper, Wayson Cooper, Craig Cooper, Roger Cooper, and Keith Cooper.
