A man in prison for his part in the robbery and beating death of a Lewis County man in 2000 will spend at least four more years behind bars.
Ricky Dale Switzer Jr., 35, is lodged in the Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex at West Liberty. He pleaded guilty to facilitation to murder, first degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the robbery and beating death of Marvin Charles “Charlie” Prater on October 21, 2000.
Switzer’s parole hearing was held Tuesday at the West Liberty facility and the board deferred the matter for 48 months, making him next eligible for parole December 17, 2020. Parole hearings are conducted 60 prior to the parole eligibility date.
