The City of Vanceburg has rescheduled some of the July Jubilee events that had to be cancelled due to weather.
On Saturday, August 5, there will be a Party in the Park at Veteran’s Memorial Park, starting at 3:00 p.m. The day is 50’s, 60’s themed and you’re invited to dress in your best 50’s, 60’s attire! Best Dressed Couple and Best Dressed Individual Prizes will be given.
The Downtown events include a Dog Show in Veteran’s Park starting at 3:00 p.m. There are 10 categories to enter, along with overall best in show. Contact Nichole to enter your pet at 606-541-5822. The Dog Show is sponsored by Bubbles and Board.
The Power Wheels Race will be in the Merchant’s lot beginning at 3:00 p.m. Boys and girls ages 3 years to 6 years are encouraged to enter. Call the City 606-796-3044 for further questions.
The Cruise-In begins at 3:00 p.m. at Veteran’s Park. Gayle McCord and Let’s Cruise Entertainment will be the host. The Cruise-In is sponsored by the Globe Family Funeral Home.
There will be prizes with a random draw of $500 for the grand prize and 20 – $25 prizes. No judging will be involved. Contact Steve if you have questions 606-202-3806.
Local band, Bustin’ Loose will go on stage at 7:00 p.m. with continued 50’s and 60’s music. There will be food trucks setting up around the park.
