Paul “AJ” Sprouse Jr., 20, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision.
AJ, as he was known by family and friends, was born at Louisa on February 11, 2004, a son of Paul Sprouse Sr. and Sonya Howard Sprouse of Maysville.
AJ worked for Nestlé USA in Mt. Sterling. He loved tinkering with small engines and liked going four-wheeling and riding his motor bike. He was very fond of his two dogs.
In addition to his parents, AJ is survived by a daughter, Emberlee Sprouse of Greenup; his companion, Karys Shaw of Maysville and a child due in May; a sister, Heather (Nathan) Edington of Tollesboro; a brother, Christopher Sprouse (Danyail Thomas) of Vanceburg; his grandfather, Charles Thompson of Vanceburg; and two nephews, Christopher Sprouse and Karson Sprouse. Many other relatives and friends also survive who will mourn his passing.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2024, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Tony Corns officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2024, at Gaydos Funeral Home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
