Paul Logan

Paul Franklin Logan, 95, of Laurel, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 19, 1927, in Lewis County, a son of the late James and Pearl Edington Logan.

Paul was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed telling stories, fishing, hunting, riding his four-wheeler, riding in his ’36 Ford, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Rhoedna Dawson Logan; one son, Paul A. (Barbara) Logan of Laurel; two daughters, Charlene (Chris) Johnson of Laurel and Karen (Larry) Mason of Camp Dix; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, with one on the way. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Logan; one grandson, Joseph Mason; four brothers, Claude Logan, Homer Logan, Carl Logan, and Noah Logan; and four sisters, Zelma Hamilton, Mary Fox, Genyth Solem, and Geraldine Fields.

A graveside service will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, in Hamilton-Mawk Cemetery on Tar Fork with Bro. Arthur Moore officiating. Burial will follow.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
