Paul McCleese

Paul Eugene McCleese, 90, of Garrison, passed away, Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at his home under hospice care.

He was born November 29, 1932, in Lewis County, a son of the late Joshua Dixon and Mary Frances Brownlee McCleese.

Paul attended Vanceburg Church of God. He loved going to church, working in the garden, and spending time with family.

He is survived by one son, Hank Eugene (April) McCleese of Garrison; two daughters, Patricia Spencer and Brenda (Johnny) Tackett of Garrison; seven grandchildren, Brandon Spencer, Emilee (Brandon) Willis, Brianna McCleese, Tanner McCleese, Colby McCleese, Brady McCleese, and Tucker Tackett; and two great-grandchildren, Hadlee Willis and Archer Willis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Geraldine Kamer McCleese; four brothers, Carl McCleese, Clifford McCleese, Warren McCleese, and Mac McCleese, and six sisters, Dorothy McCleese, Louise Howell, Catherine Harr, Opal Hobbs, Margaret Howard, and Pauline Collier.

Services will be at 4:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison with Bro. Brad Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison.

Friends may visit after 2:00 p.m. Monday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Spencer, Tanner McCleese, Hank McCleese, Ricky Tackett, Brandon Willis, and George Gilbert.
