Pauline Dummitt Chinn, 91, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021, at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born July 25, 1929, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Golda Everett and Effie May Bloomfield Dummitt.

Pauline was a member of Vanceburg United Methodist Church, a Christian since 1967 when she was baptized in the faith. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and United Methodist Women, and was a hospice volunteer.

Pauline is survived by two daughters, Jacquelyn Lee Adams (Franklin W.) of Vanceburg, and Paula Jo Vanhoose of Lexington; two granddaughters, Tara Lee Bryan of Vanceburg, and Alexandra Vanhoose of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two great-granddaughters, Gabriella Paige Bryan and Isabella Kay Bryan; and two sisters, Darlene McCormack (Kenneth) of Battle Creek, Michigan and Josephine Sliger of Knoxville, Tennessee. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jesse Lee Chinn; two brothers, Selby Dummitt and Harry Eugene Dummitt; and three sisters, Lorene Carter, Jessie Eloise Driscoll, and Patsy Monene Dummitt.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Vanceburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Jamie Hanning officiating. Entombment will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.

Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Vanceburg United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Frank Adams, Jackie Adams, Judy Swim, Dean Riggs, Johnny Bivens and Tonia Bivens. Kathy Collier, Paul Collier, Gabriella Bryan and Elijah Kamer will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.

Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg is caring for all arrangements.
