Pauline Horsley Armstrong, 76, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday evening, March 10, 2016, at Golden Living Center in Vanceburg.
She was born March 8, 1940, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Wayman Horsley and Anna Bloomfield Probst.
Pauline was of the Christian faith and had worked as a nurse’s aide at Golden Living Center. She enjoyed gardening, working, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 32 years, Ronald Armstrong; her second husband of 15 years, Glen Wilburn; her stepfather who raised her, Charlie Probst; one infant child; and one daughter-in-law, Patty Armstrong.
Pauline is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jerry and Ellen Armstrong, and Charles “Chuck” Armstrong, all of Vanceburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anna and Jack Lykins of Vanceburg, and Mary and Chuck McGinnis of Tollesboro; two stepsons and their wives, Homer and Lorie Wilburn and Jerry and Jane Wilburn, all of Vanceburg; one stepdaughter and her husband, Jackie and Jeff Brown of Vanceburg; six grandchildren, Tiffany Markins, Cassie Barber, Angela McGinnis, Mary O’Neal, Jack Lykins, and Jason Lykins; one brother, Eugene Probst of Rushville, Indiana; two sisters, Irene Stone of Vanceburg and Karen Horsley of Tollesboro; and three half-brothers, Terry Horsley, Jeff Horsley, and Dewayne Horsley, all of Vanceburg. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Services were at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Camp Dix with Bro. Danny Buckner officiating. Burial was in Armstrong Cemetery.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
