Peggy Ann Workman, 23, of Garrison, passed away Thursday evening, April 7, 2016, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born November 2, 1992, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of Phyllis Osborne Young of Garrison and the late Robert Workman.
Peggy worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Golden Living Center in Vanceburg. She enjoyed going to the beach, attending concerts, listening to music, spending time with her son and being a mother to him.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bob and Phyllis McGinnis; her maternal grandparents, Charles and Ethel Osborne; and two brothers, Donald Lee Young and Clifford Taylor Workman.
In addition to her mother, Peggy is survived by her son, Gavin Scott of Vanceburg; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, David and Judy Young of Vanceburg, Joseph and Kayla Workman of South Shore, Christopher Young (Brittany Clark), and Colton Young, all of Garrison; six sisters and one brother-in-law, Connie and William Bloomfield and Blair Workman, all of Garrison, Barbara Young (Bill Johnson), Debra Young (Wade Shank), Jennifer Young (Jason Bivens), and Sabrina Workman, all of Vanceburg; eight nieces, Kersten, Abigial, Blaze, Alaya, Christa, Bella, Bailee, and Maddy; and nine nephews, Tucker, Austin, Jackson, Kayson, Titan Creed, Cayden, Jamie, Taylor, and Charles. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Bro. Rodney Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, and until the service hour on Wednesday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue in Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Wade Shank, Ben Ginn, DJ Young, Brian Hensley, Mike Ruggary, David Young, Chris Young and Austin Young.
