Peggy Jane Piatt, of Georgetown, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 29, 2015.
She was born January 12, 1944, to the late Russell Bivens and Maggie (Ginn) Bivens.
Peggy retired from U.S. Shoe after 25 years. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, gardening, and helping the local animal shelter rescue. Enjoying time with her grandchildren was her greatest joy.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gayle Piatt. They have three children, Donita (Mark) Scott of Tucson, Arizona, Denise (Jeff) Hord of Georgetown, and Damon (Belinda) Piatt of Georgetown. They also have three grandchildren, Dylan (Katie) Scott, Rayna (Brandon) Koon, and Kailey Piatt; and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Bivens, Jr., and Omar Dick Bivens.
Private family services were held at the convenience of the family.
