Phillip Ray Knell

Phillip Ray Knell, 48, of Vanceburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at his home.

He was born at Lexington February 14, 1974, a son of the late James and Ida Smith Knell.

Phillip enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Sarah Lynn Fannin Knell; one son, Jason “Redneck” Fannin of Vanceburg; one daughter, Kaylie Fannin of Garrison; two grandchildren, Oakleigh Edington and Bella Edington; and two sisters, Iona Thomas and Doris Thomas of Vanceburg. Many other family and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Timmy Knell, Johnny Knell, and Delbert Cornell, and one sister, Connie Leadingham.

At Phillip’s request there will be no visitation or service.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg is caring for all arrangements.
