Property tax rates released

Lewis County Fiscal Court finalized and accepted property tax rates as officials prepare to get tax bills ready to mail to property owners.

Local officials from the various taxing entities earlier set property tax rates for the current tax year and while many of the rates are unchanged from 2023, the total tax amount will increase by about 1.62 percent.
