Officials in the region are elated at the news of Braidy Industries’ decision to locate an aluminum mill in Greenup County, less than eight miles from the Lewis County line

The 2.5 million-square-foot facility will initially produce 370,000 tons of aluminum annually for the automotive and aerospace industries.

The company will hire 550 workers to operate the mill and an estimated 1,000 construction workers will be needed to build the facility.
