A Quincy man was arrested and charged with felony theft Saturday as the result of an investigation into several items being reported stolen from a carport at a Quincy residence.
Deputy Bryon Walker said the items were discovered missing on Saturday morning and the theft was reported to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
Walker said the items taken included a chainsaw, garden tiller, tractor battery, lawnmower battery, a large tool box and several tools.
Walker said as he was in the area investigating the theft he observed a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo traveling on Briary Road and recognized the driver as someone whose operators license had been suspended.
