Rannel Elwood Cooper, 82, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023, at his home.
He was born November 11, 1940, in Lewis County, a son of the late Ralph and Maude Burchett Cooper.
He enjoyed fishing, listening to bluegrass music, and sitting on the porch.
He is survived by two sons, Rannel Eric (Angel) Cooper of Portland, Tennessee, and Aaron Neil (Michelle) Cooper of Suamico, Wisconsin; one daughter, Crystal Deland of Marion, Ohio; one brother, Tad Cooper of Vanceburg; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Carter Cooper; two brothers, Roland Cooper and James Cooper; and one sister, Betty Pack.
At Rannel’s request, there will be no service.
