Our loving mother, Rita Jane Bentley Anderson, 74, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at her home.
She was born at Portsmouth, Ohio, July 2, 1949, a daughter of the late Luke and Hazel Jarvis Bentley Sr.
Rita was a member of Garrison First Christian Church. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, working in her flowers, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, John Anderson (Renee) of Garrison; two daughters, Angela (Lee) Salsgiver and Jo Dawn Anderson (Wayne) of Vanceburg; four brothers, Luke (Julie) Bentley II of Garrison, Danny (Joyce) Bentley of Black Oak, David (Carol) Bentley of South Portsmouth, and Marty (Marie) Bentley of Mason, Ohio; one sister, Sandy (Bill) Plummer of Lexington; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison with Bro. Ben Collier officiating. Burial will follow in Soldier Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Luke Bentley III, Christopher Plummer, Ryan Plummer, Devon Magnatta, Daniel Bentley, and John Anderson.
