Robert Allen Carver, 76, of Gallipolis, Ohio, formerly of Vanceburg, passed away Friday morning, August 17, 2018, at Arbors Nursing Home in Gallipolis.
He was born October 7, 1941, in Lewis County, a son of the late Orville Hubert and Erma Elizabeth Hyrne Carver.
Robert was of the Christian faith and worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed writing music, playing the guitar, singing, and reading his Bible.
Robert is survived by seven brothers, Orville Wayne Carver and Vina of Tollesboro, Vanis Douglas Carver of Flemingsburg, Charles Elwood Carver and Betty of Fleming County, James Leroy Carver and Maggie of Garrison, William Dean Carver, Maurice Ray Carver and Judy, and Kenneth Paul Carver and Donna, all of Vanceburg; two nephews; and one great-nephew. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Ann Carver Cropper and Minnie Marie Carver Presley; and three sisters-in-law, Eva Carver, Beulene Carver and Barb Carver.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2018, in Bethel Cemetery at Ribolt with Bro. Michael Ulrich officiating.
