Robert “Bob” Dummitt, 87 of Greenup, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born January 7, 1934, in Greenup County, a son of the late Arthur Lee and Allie Goddard Dummitt.
Bob was a retired truck driver for the Teamsters Union. He loved operating equipment and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by two brothers, Monroe Dummitt and Grover Dummitt, both of Garrison. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who will sadly mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Jessie Dummitt, Eugene Dummitt, Buster Dummitt, Tom Dummitt, George Dummitt, and Arthur “Mart” Dummitt, and one sister, Imogene Dummitt.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison with Bro. Tim Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Dummitt Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until the service hour Tuesday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
