Robert Lee Lewis

Robert Lee Lewis, 73, of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 15, 2017, at St. Joseph East in Lexington.

He was born June 2, 1943, in Lewis County, a son of the late Ralph and Olive Cooper Lewis.

Robert was of the Jehovah Witness faith and was retired from Foodland in Vanceburg. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, doing yard work, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Edna Richardson Lewis; four sons, Robert Lewis Jr. of Tollesboro, Richard Lewis of Maysville, Timothy Lewis and Mitchell Lewis, both of Vanceburg; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Vernon Lewis of Bucyrus, Ohio; and two sisters, Joyce Stone and Wanda Morgan, both of Vanceburg. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Natisha Jenkins and Kevin Lewis; three brothers, Harold Lewis, Carlos Lewis, and Clinton Lewis; and one sister, Mildred Owens.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at McGlone Cemetery on Hobert McGlone Ridge in Carter County with Bro. Don Richardson officiating.

Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg is caring for all arrangements.
