Robert Walters, 93, of Garrison, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born July 15, 1930, in Carthage, Indiana, a son of the late Lafe and Ethel Ervin Walters.
Robert enjoyed playing music, playing golf, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Jane (Travis) Cooper of Mt. Sterling and Emma Pruitt of Garrison; two sons, James Robert (Sandra) Walters of Galion, Ohio, and Tim (Beverly) Walters of Garrison; one sister Pauline Lewis of Garrison; one brother, Preston (Bernice) Walters of Galion, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Cecilia Jane Spriggs Walters; four sisters, Maybell Walters, Betty Bradley, Deloris Howard, and Emma Knapp; six brothers, Henry Walters, Dan Walters, William Walters, Joseph Walters, Harry Walters, and James Walters; and a granddaughter, Alissa Bloomfield.
At the request of the family there will be no service at this time.
