Roger K. Gordon Sr., 79, of Vanceburg, passed away Friday evening, June 24, 2016, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville.
He was born January 30, 1937, in Plain City, Ohio, a son of the late Harvey and Dorothea Smith Gordon.
Roger attended Happy Hollow Union Church and worked in the yard and garden. He enjoyed going to church and was always happy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Gordon.
Roger is survived by his wife of eight years, Mary Gordon; three sons, Roger Gordon Jr. of London, Ohio, Roy Gordon and Shawn Gordon, both of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Julia Gordon of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Donald Gordon, Dean and Jennie Gordon, and George and Sharon Gordon, all of London, Ohio; and one sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and John Powers of London, Ohio. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
A graveside service will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Happy Hollow Cemetery with Bro. Bryan Davis officiating.
