Roger Dale Sawyer, 55, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville.
He was born December 9, 1968, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of John W and Georgia Faye Scott Sawyer of Vanceburg.
Roger was a member of Evans Chapel Church at Vanceburg and loved attending church. He enjoyed racing race cars and spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Joshua.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a daughter, Britney Sawyer of Bellville, Ohio; a son, Brandon Dale Sawyer of Mansfield, Ohio; one sister, Jackie (Mike) Thoroughman of Tollesboro; one brother, Phillip (Kim) Sawyer of Vanceburg; and a grandson, Joshua Reed. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
Services will be at Noon Monday, March 11, 2024, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Ronnie Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery at Ribolt.
Friends may visit after 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2024, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Nelson Kielman, Jeff Bond, Mike Thoroughman, Aaron Thoroughman, Aaron Small, and Brandon Sawyer.
