Ronald and Wilma Gilliam

Ronald Dean Gilliam and Wilma Lee Gilliam, husband and wife, of Wallingford, passed away three days apart. 

Ronald passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Wilma passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, at their home.

Ronald was born in Lewis County, a son of the late Marie Richmond Gilliam and Ira Lee Gilliam.

Wilma was born in Fleming County, a daughter of the late Harry Elwood Wagner and Mary Melvina Stamm Wagner.

Ronald was a lifelong farmer and logger, and was of the Christian faith.

Wilma was a lifelong farmer and member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church.

Ronald’s survivors include seven siblings, Carolyn (Delbert) McGlone, Phyllis (Bob) Bentley, Donetta (Ronnie) Beiland, Norma Louise Bloomfield, Roscoe (Betty) Gilliam, Mildred Bloomfield, and Nellie Walters.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by five siblings, Burton Gilliam, Clifford Gilliam, Oscar Gilliam, Willena Blankenship, and Rebecca Bryant.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Wagner.

A graveside service for Ronald and Wilma will be privately held in Martin Cemetery.

Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg is caring for all arrangements.
