Ronald Roscoe Polley, 92, of Russell, passed away February 19, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born November 19, 1930, a son of the late Richard Benjamin and Dollie Bennett Polley.
Ronald loved fishing, farming, and his family. He could talk about tractors, hunting dogs, or the Big Red Machine for hours. He was fair and honest unless you were playing cards or checkers. He leaves behind a legacy of loyalty and working hard for all of us who loved him.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Hazel Elliott Polley; one daughter, Pamela (Hershel) Collier of Russell; two grandchildren, Bethany Collier and Daniel (Sarah) Collier; seven great-grandchildren, Noah and his wife Bella, Elijah, Isaiah, Raegan, Avery, Ellie, and Kensi; one sister, Janet Moon of Manchester, Ohio, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Kristin Collier; one brother, Floyd Polley; and two sisters, Annabelle Archer and Juanita Howell.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Chapel, 110 West Second Street, Vanceburg with Pastor Bob Hunt officiating. Entombment will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Ronald’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
